Most first visits take 30–60 minutes.
Depending on your child’s condition and needs, our paediatric ENT specialists may recommend these following tests:
Otoscopy (Ear Examination)
A small light is gently used to look inside your child’s ear canal and eardrum to check for infections, fluid, or wax buildup.
Ear Cleaning (if needed)
Using a magnifier or microscope, the doctor may carefully remove earwax or debris to improve visibility and hearing.
Hearing Test
Your child may listen to soft sounds or play simple games to check how well they hear different tones and pitches.
Nasal Examination
A gentle light is used to inspect the inside of your child’s nose for blockages, allergies, or structural issues.
Advanced Nasal Check (if needed
A tiny camera may be used to see inside the nose and check how well your child is breathing.
Neck & Mouth Examination
The ENT doctor will gently examine the neck and mouth for any lumps or abnormalities.
Throat & Vocal Cord Check (if needed)
A small camera may be used to view the throat and vocal cords to ensure everything is healthy and functioning properly.

If you’re using insurance or Medisave, please bring your insurance card or policy details, and any GP referral required for corporate plans. We’ll guide you through the documentation and submission process right at the clinic, so you can focus on your child’s care and comfort.
If you prefer, self-payment is available at the counter, with receipts provided for your convenience and peace of mind.
1. Will my child feel pain during the ENT examination?
Most tests are gentle and non-invasive. Some procedures, like ear cleaning or camera checks, may feel unusual or ticklish, but your child will not experience pain.
2. Should my child eat or drink before the appointment?
Yes, your child can eat and drink normally. For some specialized tests, the doctor may give specific instructions beforehand.
3. Can I stay with my child during the examination?
Absolutely. Parents are encouraged to stay close to comfort and support their child throughout the visit.
4. Do children need anesthesia for ENT tests?
Most routine examinations, including ear, nose, and throat checks, do not require anesthesia.
5. Are hearing tests safe for young children?
Yes. Hearing assessments use soft, non-invasive sounds or interactive games and are safe for all ages.
